Regular surface measurements in terms of verirification of the room and pillar mining method
Jiránková, Eva
The mining by room and pillar method was operated in the protective pillar of the Sever Důlního závod 2 site in the period from May 2014 to October 2017. The protective shaft pillar is constructed using a pillar angle that is steeper than the limiting angle of influence. Therefore, the influence of the surrounding mining is partially occurred in the protective pillar. The surface in the area of the protective pillar is thus affected by both the surrounding mining and the mining by room and pillar method in the protective pillar. The purpose of geodetic measurements is to make the data needed to evaluate the surface displacements that occur as a result of the effect of the mining by room and pillar method. Therefore, it is necessary to carry out the sufficient amount of geodetic measuring in order to prove in the future what part of the value of surface subsidence contributes to the effect of mining by room and pillar method during the concurrently influence of the longwall mining in the effective distances from the protective pillar.
